Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team The Experimental Projects team quickly tests new product opportunities for Stripe. We work on brand-new, zero-to-one problems by building prototypes, talking with users, analyzing what we learn, and iterating rapidly. The team operates across a broad range of problem spaces. Rather than optimizing a single mature product area, you’ll help determine whether new ideas can solve meaningful user problems and become valuable products for Stripe. We’re looking for a Data Scientist who enjoys building, has a strong bias for action, and is comfortable moving from an ambiguous question to a practical test. Responsibilities Use data to identify, evaluate, and shape new product opportunities. Partner with engineers and product managers to build and test early product concepts. Develop analyses, models, experiments, and prototypes that help the team learn quickly. Talk with users and combine qualitative insights with quantitative evidence. Define success measures for new ideas and assess whether early results support further investment. Work across several new problem areas, adapting your approach as priorities and evidence change. Communicate findings clearly, including uncertainty, tradeoffs, and recommended next steps. Help establish analytical foundations for projects that may grow into larger product areas. What you'll do You’ll partner closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and other cross-functional partners to explore new product opportunities. You’ll use data science throughout the discovery and development process, from identifying promising problems and shaping hypotheses to building early solutions and evaluating results. Your work may include product analytics, experimentation, statistical modeling, machine learning, causal inference, and rapid prototyping. The specific methods will depend on the opportunity. Success in this role requires choosing the right level of analytical rigor for each stage, working quickly when evidence is limited, and turning what you learn into clear recommendations about what the team should build or test next. Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Location Requirement San Francisco CA, Seattle WA or New York, NY preferred (50% in office - hybrid) Minimum requirements PhD with 3+ years, MS or MA with 6+ years, or BS or BA with 8+ years of data science or quantitative modeling experience Proficiency in SQL and a computing language such as Python or R. Ability to effectively work both independently and with cross-disciplinary teams, including engineering and finance, to deliver impactful results. A demonstrated ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects with a high attention to detail. Solid business acumen and experience in synthesizing complex analyses into actionable recommendations. A track record of building relationships with and influencing the decisions of senior technical leadership. A builder's mindset with a willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom. Proficiency with artificial intelligence tools to accelerate model development, analysis, and coding. Preferred qualifications Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in several of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, optimization, product analytics, causal inference, and experimentation Experience deploying models in production and adjusting model thresholds to improve performance Experience designing, running, and analyzing complex experiments or using causal inference methods A builder’s mindset and willingness to question assumptions and conventional wisdom Experience working on ambiguous, zero-to-one problems and turning early evidence into practical decisions A strong bias for action, including the ability to identify the fastest credible way to test a hypothesis Comfort moving across different problem spaces and learning unfamiliar domains quickly Experience with distributed tools such as Spark or Hadoop A PhD or MS in a quantitative field, such as statistics, engineering, mathematics, economics, quantitative finance, science, or operations research

How we're different We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills. The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research continues many of the directions our team worked on prior to Anthropic, including: GPT-3, Circuit-Based Interpretability, Multimodal Neurons, Scaling Laws, AI & Compute, Concrete Problems in AI Safety, and Learning from Human Preferences. Come work with us! Anthropic is a public benefit corporation headquartered in San Francisco. We offer competitive compensation and benefits, optional equity donation matching, generous vacation and parental leave, flexible working hours, and a lovely office space in which to collaborate with colleagues. What You'll Achieve: Build and lead the global net-new business motion: define strategy, program portfolio, operating cadence, governance, and performance standards across regions Own the global net new business strategy for Land, including ICP and segmentation guardrails, plays, coverage model assumptions, annual and quarterly planning, sequencing, and investment trade-offs Establish global definitions and standards for stages, qualification, handoffs, pipeline math assumptions, and reporting integrity Build and run global pipeline generation programs in partnership with Marketing and regional leaders, including campaign-to-pipeline motions, partner-sourced pipeline programs, ABM or named-account plays, and field event program standards Define the measurement framework for new business programs, connecting inputs to outputs and outcomes across cost, pipeline, iARR, velocity, and win-rate lift Own the Land-side technical selling motion and set the technical bar for sales: SC plays, discovery and demo standards, scalable demo environments, certification paths, and ramp mechanisms Run the global new business operating cadence, including weekly program reviews, monthly pipeline health inspection, quarterly planning, escalation paths, and decision-rights models Partner with Regional GMs, Marketing, RevOps, Enablement, EPD, Product, and Partnerships to align new business programs, systems, content, enablement, feedback loops, and change management Skills You'll Need to Bring: Deeply technical SaaS background with meaningful customer-facing experience—solutions engineering, solutions consulting, field or customer engineering, or technical sales—plus ownership of a revenue, quota, pipeline, or conversion outcome Deep understanding of pipeline mechanics and how to influence conversion levers end-to-end, including qualified pipeline creation, coverage ratios, lead response, handoff quality, stage progression, win-rate lift, and velocity Strong program-building instincts: you can design scalable plays, instrument them with data, and run an inspection cadence that drives behavior change Experience building operating systems for global teams, including cadences, dashboards, governance, playbooks, definitions, and change-management mechanisms Executive presence and cross-functional leadership: able to align and influence Regional GMs, Marketing, RevOps, Enablement, EPD, Partnerships, and regional teams without relying on direct reporting lines for every dependency Ability to balance regional autonomy with global craft excellence: you set the bar, create standards, and drive consistency while enabling local execution Strong enablement and role-design instincts, with the ability to define expectations, onboarding paths, certification standards, and time-to-productivity mechanisms for BDR and SC motions Builder orientation and comfort in ambiguity: you create the playbook while the org is executing, and you iterate quickly based on market, customer, and performance signals Hands-on with AI tools, and able to credibly explain how AI and agents change workflows for technical teams Nice to Haves: Experience with solution-led selling motions and technical or product-adjacent go-to-market Track record building global programs that still allow regional adaptation Experience partnering deeply with Marketing, Partnerships, RevOps, and Enablement to create measurable net new business impact Experience designing partner-sourced pipeline programs, ABM or named-account motions, or field event program standards at scale We hire talented and passionate people from a variety of backgrounds because we want our global employee base to represent the wide diversity of our customers. If you're excited about a role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with every bullet point listed in the job description, we still encourage you to apply. About Anthropic Anthropic’s mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems. About the Role We're standing up a dedicated executive support function within IT, and we're hiring the IT Support Engineer who will build it. IT Support is the front door for every employee technology need at Anthropic, and this role creates its most visible lane: white-glove support for our executives, their administrative business partners (ABPs), and our board. You'll define what that service looks like: the support model for execs, board, and ABPs, the runbooks behind it, the intake and escalation paths, and the trusted relationships with ABPs and exec staff that make it work. You'll set the bar for discretion and polish as you go. You'll also be the person our leadership reaches when technology gets in the way. The requests that land in this lane range from routine to highly sensitive, and many arrive urgent: an executive locked out minutes before a meeting, an AV issue in a room full of leadership, a board member who needs setup handled quietly and correctly the first time. You own the request end to end and pull in specialist functions or IT Engineering pods as needed. Responsibilities Stand up the executive support intake channels and run it: monitor, respond, and follow through on every request from executives, ABPs, and board members Define the white-glove service model for discretion-sensitive asks and deliver to it, holding confidentiality under pressure Design the board-meeting AV support playbook with the AV pod, and provide AV support for executive rooms and board meetings, from setup and pre-checks through live triage Create exec-support runbooks and SLAs that keep the service consistent as it grows Build trusted relationships with ABPs and executive staff, and establish clear intake paths so leadership knows exactly where to go Handle ABP escalations and exec-urgent issues calmly, and route into specialist lanes or IT Engineering pods when a request needs them Establish the board member device, account, and access setup process with our Onboarding lane Work the shared ticket queue with the SF Core team: walk-ups, desk-side help, hardware swaps, it-assist overflow, and AV T1 triage Participate in the Core on-call rotation and contribute to the knowledge base and runbooks Maintain a regular on-site presence in San Francisco You may be a good fit if you have 7+ years of experience in IT support and 3+ years in executive support Experience standing up a service or program from scratch, such as an executive support desk, a VIP support function, or a white-glove service Experience supporting executives, their assistants, or a board to a white-glove standard A track record of handling sensitive requests with discretion, and the judgment to know what stays confidential without being told Strong hands-on IT support fundamentals: macOS-primary fleets, identity and access, SaaS troubleshooting, hardware lifecycle AV fluency for executive rooms and board meetings: you can set up, verify, and fix a room under time pressure Composure when an urgent escalation lands, and the judgment to know when to pull in help High polish and low ego: you take pride in service quality and still pick up whatever the team needs, including the ordinary queue work A security-first mindset and excellent judgment about when user experience yields to security requirements Comfort with ambiguity: you can make progress before the process exists, and you enjoy shaping how things should work The instinct to write things down: runbooks, KB articles, and status updates that keep people informed Nice to have Experience supporting a C-suite or board of directors at a company with significant security or compliance requirements AV depth beyond first response, such as broadcast, live events, or room design input Experience building runbooks, self-service content, or support automation Experience supporting AI/ML research environments or highly technical user bases Deadline to apply: None.
