Who We Are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies — from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups — use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the Team The Datalake team builds and maintains Stripe's foundational data access and governance infrastructure — the paved path for safe, fast, and compliant access to Stripe's critical big data assets. We serve developers, data engineers, analysts, ML and AI teams, security teams, and business users across the company. The team is in the middle of a significant architectural transition as Stripe grows. We are making Stripe's data lake a first-class citizen of the modern data ecosystem to support our growing scale and diverse workloads. What Makes This Role Compelling Foundational infrastructure with broad reach: The Datalake team's systems sit in the critical path of nearly every data workload at Stripe. Decisions affect petabytes of data, hundreds of production pipelines, and every engineering team that builds on Stripe's data lake. Active, high-stakes architectural transformation: The team is executing a multi-year migration to modern, OSS-aligned solutions — a technically deep project with real architectural choices at each step, including API design, compute engine integration, authorization model, and per-table credential vending. Active, high-stakes, OSS-aligned architectural transformation: You will lead a multi-year migration to modern, open-source solutions like the Apache Iceberg REST Catalog. This is a technically deep project involving critical architectural choices at each step, from API design and compute engine integration to authorization models, where your opinions and technical influence will directly shape how the platform engages with the broader data infrastructure ecosystem. Storage platform ownership with room to define the approach: The team owns the object storage abstraction layer — access control, IAM policy design, lifecycle management, and compliance architecture — but the how is still being written. You'll shape how hundreds of engineering teams interact with petabytes of data, and the decisions you make will stick. At Stripe you’ll have the scale of the large company and the agency to influence technical strategy and the roadmap Responsibilities Architect the unified Iceberg platform: Lead the technical design of a metastore service as it becomes the single source of truth for Iceberg table management across all compute engines — Spark, Trino, Flink, and PyIceberg. Define the API contracts, authorization model, per-table credential vending, and integration patterns that every data pipeline at the company will depend on. Own the metastore migration strategy: Drive the sequencing, backward compatibility story, rollback approach, and cross-team coordination for migrating all remaining Hive Metastore-backed workloads to the new platform. This means coordinating with dozens of consuming teams while keeping production data infrastructure operational at all times. Shape the object storage abstraction: Define the storage abstraction layer — including bucket provisioning, access control policy design, and the developer-facing client libraries that make object storage ergonomic and secure by default. The goal is an abstraction layer that consuming teams can adopt without needing to become storage infrastructure experts themselves. Lead compliance architecture: Partner with security and compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into durable preventative technical controls — audit logging, access review infrastructure, data segregation, and lifecycle enforcement — built into the platform rather than bolted on. Drive cost and efficiency at petabyte scale: Identify systemic inefficiencies in storage layout, snapshot retention, and data lifecycle, and design automated, self-service tooling that scales without ongoing manual intervention from the team. Set the technical bar: Own critical design reviews, establish standards for reliability, security, and developer experience, and mentor senior engineers through high-stakes architectural decisions. Provide the technical judgment that keeps the platform moving fast without accumulating structural debt. Who You Are Minimum requirements 10+ years of professional software engineering experience. Demonstrated track record of designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed storage or data infrastructure systems. Deep experience with object storage (S3, Azure Blob, or equivalent) — including IAM, access control policy design, lifecycle management, and operational practices at petabyte scale. Proven ability to lead complex, multi-quarter infrastructure projects end-to-end, including cross-team dependency management and coordinating migrations across many consuming teams. Strong background in authorization and access control design for distributed data systems. Preferred requirements Deep expertise in Apache Iceberg — table format internals, the REST Catalog specification, snapshot lifecycle management, compaction, and compute engine integration (Spark, Trino, Flink, PyIceberg). Background in compliance-sensitive infrastructure — SOX, ICFR, or equivalent regulatory frameworks — with an understanding of how audit and access review requirements translate into preventative technical controls. Experience safely executing large-scale data migrations with a strong instinct for sequencing, blast radius reduction, rollback, and data integrity validation. A strong developer experience sensibility: the ability to build abstractions that are ergonomic, well-documented, and actively reduce toil for the engineering teams that depend on your platform.

Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world's largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team Bridge is creating an entirely new payments platform, built with stablecoins, to simplify global money movement. Bridge enables faster, cheaper payments and borderless access to dollars via stablecoins. Through our APIs, businesses can send and receive funds across borders faster and cheaper than SWIFT and other fiat-only rails. Our virtual accounts enable international consumers and businesses to easily access, store, and spend US dollars. Our payouts infrastructure enables platforms to disburse USD to anyone globally. We believe many trillions of dollars will move and settle through stablecoin payment rails. Bridge is pulling this future forward. The Stripe Finance and Strategy team is an integral thought partner to Stripe's core functional leaders. We bring understanding and predictability to Stripe's bottom-line financials. We work cross-functionally across many surfaces at Stripe and help steward Stripe's resource investments to improve the durability of our long-term financial performance. This role will partner closely with Bridge, a small team of people experienced in building financial infrastructure at leading companies. What you'll do We are looking for a Strategic Finance Partner who combines the rigor of a trained financial analyst with the technical self-sufficiency to answer complex business questions independently. This is a high-ownership, high-exposure role. You will own business forecasting, pricing analytics, and cross-functional partnerships that drive how Bridge allocates capital, sets prices, and grows. This is an early and consequential moment to join the finance function. You will be among the first finance hires in the organization and will have broad exposure across Bridge and Stripe leadership. Responsibilities Forecasting and Reporting Own full P&L reporting, forecasting, and budgeting, with an emphasis on revenue, unit economics, and the stablecoin payment flows that drive Bridge's business Pricing and Deal Modeling Lead pricing strategy across Bridge's product suite. Build models to evaluate pricing for enterprise deals, key accounts, and new product initiatives. Translate complex stablecoin transaction economics into pricing decisions that are both competitive and financially sound Strategic Financial Analysis Partner with business leaders across Bridge to analyze the financial impact of strategic initiatives, understand their business questions, and deliver analytical frameworks that drive real decisions Metrics and Analytics Partner with Bridge's data science team to define, build, and maintain the key business and operational metrics that measure Bridge's growth and efficiency. You own the financial lens on this work Data and SQL Ownership Write and maintain complex SQL queries and views to support P&L reporting, forecasting, and ad-hoc financial analysis. Work with engineering to ensure accuracy of financial metrics. Bridge has built strong infrastructure in Metabase and Databricks — you leverage it and go beyond it independently, without filing tickets and waiting Stripe Finance Partnership Integrate Bridge financials into broader Stripe company financial reporting and forecasting. Evolve the finance partnership and reporting structure as Bridge and Stripe develop joint product initiatives Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements 7+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or analytical business operations, with a Bachelor's degree in a related field. We care about the rigor of your training, not the specific industry. Strong financial modeling fundamentals — you build 3-statement models, unit economics frameworks, and cohort analyses from a blank spreadsheet and understand the assumptions behind the numbers, not just the formulas. Genuine SQL proficiency — you write your own queries when the dashboard doesn't have what you need, with experience building data tables in Databricks or similar environments as a strong plus A demonstrated track record of cross-functional partnership with non-finance leaders — understanding the actual problems they're trying to solve and building something that improves their decision-making — and the intellectual curiosity and drive to deeply understand how the business works, including the settlement flows, transaction economics, and cross-border mechanics Self-directed and organized, with strong communication skills, high performance under tight timelines, and a roll-up-your-sleeves, get-it-done mentality that fits a small team building something new Preferred qualifications Prior experience in fintech, payments, or crypto — particularly in transaction-based or stablecoin business models Familiarity with Databricks, dbt, Looker, or Metabase Experience in a first-finance-hire or early-stage company context Exposure to enterprise deal structuring or pricing in a payments or API-product business

Who we are About Stripe Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career. About the team This role is on the Intercept team, which is part of Stripe's broader collection of public goods initiatives, including Frontier . Respiratory viruses kill 1 million people a year, cost us $600B annually, disrupt everyday life, and periodically threaten civilization. Recent breakthroughs may make it possible to develop and deploy broad-spectrum preventatives and air cleaning technologies that defend against common respiratory infections. Intercept is a $500M philanthropic initiative that aims to radically reduce the burden of respiratory infections, and eventually eliminate them altogether. Learn more about Intercept via our launch post and our website . What you’ll do Intercept is looking for a strategic, execution-oriented operator to join our air cleaning technologies (ACTs) team. Intercept’s ACT function is focused on catalyzing the supply and demand of high-quality ACT products that can be deployed at scale. This role will focus on mapping the universe of available and in-development products, identifying gaps relative to prospective customers’ needs and operational barriers to adoption, and filling those gaps. Intercept is a small team, so you'll have a chance to work on a wide variety of topics and work directly with many of our partners. You’ll own specific outcomes end-to-end and have a chance to contribute to our ACTs strategy over time. This is an individual contributor role for someone who is obsessed with getting things done: clarifying goals and priorities, understanding stakeholder needs, identifying and removing blockers, then working to make the process work more smoothly the next time. Experience with physical products (e.g., heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; mechanical, electrical, and plumbing; indoor air quality) is a major bonus, but the general attributes described below and a willingness to learn are more important. We need someone who can (1) understand physical products and what it takes to help customers evaluate, pilot, and maintain them, and (2) zoom out to synthesize what their experience doing so means for the long-term goal of scale deployment. A successful person will be action-oriented and comfortable working independently (vs. waiting to be told what to do) and a great listener who can translate user needs into product and process improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Track and evaluate commercially available (and upcoming) air cleaning tech: review available products across standards and quality, installation, servicing and maintenance needs, and guidance for facilities managers etc. Help build and maintain a living product roadmap and target product profile (TPP) for ACTs. Use this knowledge to help us design indoor air quality (IAQ) pilots for prospective ACT adopters, conduct requests for proposals (RFPs) for suppliers to run these pilots, execute them, and scale capacity. Support the creation of playbooks for IAQ-curious organizations to DIY their own IAQ improvement projects, and ride-along with them to better understand blockers (then conceive of and execute work to solve those blockers at scale). Conduct focus groups to learn how decision-makers (facilities operators, people and finance leaders) in key segments consider IAQ investments. Build relationships with manufacturers, installers, servicers, etc. in the air cleaning tech space to help us evaluate new opportunities. Who you are We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. Minimum requirements 7-10+ years of experience in high impact strategy and operations, special projects, or commercial roles. Highly self-directed, hands-on project owner who executes directly (rather than delegating) and is eager to drive outcomes rather than manage a checklist of tasks. Expert communicator (both written and verbal) who can toggle between executive-style structured reasoning, in-the-weeds details, stakeholder research and non-expert audiences. Experience evaluating physical products or technologies against structured criteria, including quality, operational fit, and feasibility. Experience managing pilots or proof-of-concept programs, including running RFP or vendor selection processes. Experience conducting structured stakeholder interviews or focus groups and translating findings into actionable recommendations. Preferred qualifications HVAC/MEP familiarity. Experience at an organization that sells or manages physical product installations. Public health or biosecurity experience.
