About Vercel: Vercel is the agentic infrastructure company, freeing people and agents to ship what's next. For more than a decade we've helped builders move from idea to production with speed, security, and exceptional developer experience. Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. About the role: Developers are building faster than ever. Humans and agents are deploying more than 6 million times a day on Vercel, spinning up over 2 million Sandboxes and serving a trillion requests per month. Every single one is powered by our own compute infrastructure . The Persistence team sits within Vercel's Compute division. This team owns the deep infrastructure within Hive (our compute platform) focussing on storage and state for all our workloads (Builds, Sandboxes and Functions). This work is redefining compute with features like Fluid Compute, Persistent Sandboxes, and Custom Images. As a Software Engineer on the Persistence team, you'll work on the infrastructure that runs 100s of instances across every region where our customers deploy code, rethinking low-level primitives and contributing to platform features that improve the experience for thousands of developers every day. This role is based in London, UK . If you're within commuting distance of our London office, the role includes in-office anchor days. If you're located further afield within the UK, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team. What you will do: Manage and improve our fleet of clusters, running 100s of instances deployed in every region where our customers deploy and run their code. Write Golang on a daily basis and use Terraform to provision infrastructure; you'll get to know Nomad as our scheduler for managing workloads. Rethink the primitives of our infrastructure — working with virtual filesystems, Linux primitives, and low-level virtualisation. Own the reliability and performance of our compute platform, including on-call coverage for a team where every improvement has outsized impact at scale. Collaborate across teams to drive the convergence of all compute at Vercel. About you: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with Golang strongly preferred. Deep experience with virtual machines, file systems and Linux — you like knowing how things work under the hood (tcpdump, strace, and iptables are familiar tools). Experience building and operating distributed systems at scale; you design for performance and reliability. Experience with schedulers and orchestrators for managing containers and non-containerised workloads (e.g. Nomad, Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a genuine enthusiasm for digging into problems that don't have obvious solutions. Bonus if you: Have worked on low-level virtualisation or sandbox execution environments. Have product engineering experience and care about the developer-facing impact of infrastructure decisions. Have experience with on-call operations for large-scale distributed systems. Benefits: Competitive compensation package, including equity. Inclusive Healthcare Package. Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills. Flexible Time Off. We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed. #LI-KR1 Disclosures: Privacy: Please review our Job Applicant Privacy Policy for more information on how we handle your data. Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. About the Role: This role owns external product storytelling across Vercel: the Agent Stack, Core Platform, and tools like v0, Vercel Agent, and Vercel Plugin. You'll translate ships into narratives that land with developers, press, and the market. You'll also oversee communications for Vercel's open source portfolio, including Next.js, Nitro, Nuxt Labs, shadcn/ui, Svelte, Better Auth, Turbopack, and our investments in the Python ecosystem. You'll work closely with communications leadership, Product, DX Engineering, and Content Engineering to make sure product work is introduced and explained with the right context, to the right audience, at the right moment. You will report to the Head of Communications and will be located in our SF office with in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. What You Will Do: Product Launch Strategy: Own external comms for product announcements and updates across the Agent Stack (AI SDK, AI Gateway, Workflow, Sandbox, Connect, Chat SDK, eve) and Core Platform (Security, CDN, Fluid Compute, Observability, CI/CD), as well as v0, Vercel Agent, Vercel Plugin, and Domains — driving awareness, consideration, and thought leadership for each. OSS Portfolio Oversight: Oversee communications for Vercel's open source frameworks, with a concentration on Next.js, tailoring your approach to the maturity and audience of each project and keeping a voice that feels native to developer communities rather than corporate marketing. Narrative & Positioning: Build thought leadership narratives around how Vercel's products fit together — and where they sit in the broader infrastructure and framework landscape. Owned & Social Content: Develop owned content, social content, and campaigns in partnership with Content Engineering that engages both commercial and developer audiences. Community Support: Stay close to the pulse of the open source community and proactively look for opportunities to support it, whether that's amplifying a contributor, responding to a moment, or spotting a story before it breaks. Community Programming: Partner with DX Engineering's community team on programming, conference participation, and activations that put Vercel's product and OSS work in front of the right audiences. Executive & Maintainer Thought Leadership: Build the public thought leadership profiles of Vercel's product and engineering leadership, and elevate the stories of the open source maintainers behind key projects. About You: 6-8 years of experience in communications, PR, or product marketing, with direct exposure to developer tools, infrastructure, or technical products. Strong writer and storyteller who can translate technical work — product or open source — into narratives that resonate with developers and the market, without oversimplifying or overselling. Comfortable working directly with engineers, PMs, and technical leadership, and skilled at pulling a story out of people who don't think of themselves as storytellers. Experience managing multi-channel, cross-functional programs, with an instinct for what performs with developer audiences. Familiarity with the frontend/JavaScript ecosystem (Next.js, frameworks, runtimes, and adjacent tooling) is a strong plus. Self-directed and comfortable owning a program end-to-end in a fast-moving environment with a lot of surface area. Bonus If You: Have genuine fluency in open source culture — you understand what motivates maintainers and contributors, and know the difference between a community that feels engaged and one that feels marketed to. Have contributed to or been active in an open source community yourself, as a maintainer, contributor, or engaged participant. Have interest in and proficiency with using agents in your workflow. About the role: We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Agent Stack team and help build eve — Vercel's framework for building production-ready AI agents. Eve is to agents what Next.js is to web apps: an opinionated, batteries-included framework that lets developers write only what's unique about their agent and have the platform handle the rest. You will design and implement core framework primitives, contribute to eve's runtime (built on Vercel Workflows, AI SDK, and Sandbox), and help shape the developer experience for the next generation of AI-native applications. You will report to the Director of Vercel's Agent Stack and will be located onsite in New York City . What you will do: Design and ship core eve framework features — the file-system conventions, compiler, and runtime that turn an agent directory into a durable, production-ready agent on Vercel. Build and maintain integrations across eve's channel layer (Slack, Web Chat, WhatsApp, API, Cron, and more) and connections layer (Vercel Connect / MCP endpoints). Collaborate with the AI SDK, Workflows, and Sandbox teams to ensure eve's primitives compose seamlessly on the Vercel platform. Drive DX quality — CLI ergonomics, error messages, docs, and examples — so TypeScript/Next.js developers can ship their first agent in minutes. Contribute to eve's evaluation and observability story: test suites, scoring rubrics, and deployment-time evals that make agents production-safe. Partner with early customers and internal teams to gather feedback, diagnose agent reliability issues, and iterate rapidly. About you: 5+ years of production TypeScript/JavaScript experience; comfortable owning complex, stateful systems end to end. Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts — durable execution, checkpointing, async workflows, and failure recovery. Experience building or operating developer tooling, frameworks, or SDKs used by external developers. Familiarity with LLM APIs and agent orchestration patterns (tool calling, multi-agent delegation, human-in-the-loop flows). Now we're scaling our products for both agents and people to ship and run software, built in the open and trusted by OpenAI, PayPal, Ramp, Supreme, and millions of developers worldwide. About the role: We are looking for a Senior Technical Account Manager (TAM) to join our Forward Deployed Engineering organization within Professional Services. As a Senior TAM, you will be the named, persistent technical owner for the mission-critical workload that anchors your customer's Vercel relationship, across a portfolio of concurrent accounts. You are a peer to their VPs of Engineering and CTOs, and the first line of coordination for every Vercel workstream attached to that workload, across Support, Engineering, Product, and Sales. On a large customer several Vercel roles are engaged at once, and you are the person who keeps them coherent. The Solutions Architect stays technically accountable for the account as a whole. On the accounts you cover, you take over the post-sales technical relationship for that workload from the Solutions Architect, through a structured handover. The SA stays on the account and continues across everything outside your scope: new teams, new workloads, and expansion. This is a billable, customer-funded role. Customers purchase Senior TAM engagement as part of their Vercel relationship, and you will carry a portfolio of concurrent accounts. You will not be on-call, you will not write production code, and you will not carry a sales quota. You will own the technical relationship, drive proactive risk identification and architectural guidance, and ensure every other Vercel engagement on your accounts (e.g. Platform Consumption, Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs), Professional Services projects, audits, workshops) lands successfully and compounds in value over time. Our Professional Services team is structured around a simple frame: PS delivers outcomes, FDE delivers velocity, TAM delivers continuity. You are the continuity. You are the reason a customer's second year on Vercel is more valuable to them than their first. You will report to the Head of Professional Services and will be located within the Americas or EMEA region. What you will do: Own the post-sales technical relationship for a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts. You are the customer's named technical owner, the person their VP of Engineering calls when something matters. You take this accountability over from the Solutions Architect at deal close, through a formal handover, and you hold it for the life of the engagement. You co-own each account with the Account Executive, with clear domain boundaries: you own technical, they own commercial, and both of you have veto rights within your domain. You run a defined cadence with each account: a weekly Cadence Call, a monthly business review, a quarterly business review with the customer's technical leadership, and an annual roadmap workshop. Lead post-incident pattern ownership and technical triage. You are not the 24/7 first call. Customer Support remains the front line, but when an incident escalates or a pattern emerges across multiple incidents, you take ownership. You drive the post-mortem, identify the architectural root cause, and own the remediation roadmap. You commit to responding within 4 business hours in your local time zone to any P1/P2 escalation routed to you, and you are the customer's escalation path when standard Support channels need acceleration. Drive proactive technical strategy, cost optimization, and architectural guidance. You spend the majority of your time on work the customer doesn't yet know they need: architectural reviews, technical risk mapping, cost and usage optimization, pre-launch readiness assessments, and translating Vercel's product evolution into specific opportunities for the customer's business. Solutions Architecture does this work across many customers. On your workload you do it deeper, more often, and with the sustained context that comes from holding the relationship over years. The best TAMs save customers more than the cost of the engagement through this work alone. Scope and orchestrate Vercel's broader engagement on your accounts. When your customers need hands-on engineering work, a deep audit, or a launch readiness review, you scope and hand off to a Forward Deployed Engineer. Enablement and training go to Developer Success Engineering, and fixed-scope delivery work goes to Professional Services. You do not deliver these engagements yourself. You coordinate, track, and capture what those engagements produce, then integrate it back into the customer's technical roadmap. What you add is making sure they happen at the right time, with the right scope. Throwaway demos and illustrative proofs-of-concept are part of the job; code that ships to a customer's production environment is not. Operate as the customer's voice inside Vercel. You translate customer technical needs into signal for Product, Engineering, and Support, using the same Vercel-internal channels that Solutions Architects and Developer Success Engineers use today. You hold internal teams accountable to commitments you've made to your customers. In the early phase of the function, you will do this primarily through influence and relationships built up by the broader Forward Deployed Engineering org; over time, this will operate through defined cross-functional service-level agreements you help establish. Make the engagement self-funding. The Account Executive owns the renewal. You own the technical case for it. What you are accountable for is the work that makes the engagement worth buying again: the cost and usage optimization that pays for it, and the platform adoption you drive on the account. On a healthy account, the value you create exceeds what the customer pays for this role. The engagement is renewed annually, and your customers' decision to renew is the most honest measure of the value you've delivered. You will be measured against a 90%+ engagement renewal rate, with supporting metrics including TAM-specific CSAT (target 4.5+ / 5), escalation responsiveness against the 4-hour SLA (target 95%+), influence on Professional Services and FDE attach, and the platform adoption you drive on your accounts, measured as accelerated consumption. About you: 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role at a platform, infrastructure, or developer tools company (TAM, Solutions Architect, Developer Success, Field Engineer, or hands-on technical consultant), with personal ownership of strategic relationships: QBRs, roadmap, workshops, renewals. Internal SA/DSE/CSE candidates encouraged to apply. Deep technical experience with a platform product, and evidence of getting credible on an unfamiliar one fast. Breadth across a platform matters more here than depth in one corner. Platform experience. You have run a technical platform at scale in a customer-facing role and are fluent in the build and deploy path: CI/CD pipelines, environment and preview strategy, release mechanics, and the cost and performance patterns that separate a healthy deployment from a runaway one. Infrastructure and cloud-provider depth. Production-grade, architectural reasoning on AWS, GCP, or Azure. Demonstrated fast ramp. You earned customer trust on an unfamiliar, technical product. Prior production experience with Next.js and Vercel is a strong advantage. It is not a requirement and the assessment measures your ability to learn. You optimize for the customer and can quantify outcomes. You actively create incremental value for a customer’s adoption through spend management, risk mitigation, and shape their adoption journey. You operate with high agency across complex relationships. You steer cross-functional outcomes without formal authority, challenge flawed technical decisions without burning the relationship, and build trust fast when picking up an engagement someone else started. Strong written communication, particularly for executive and incident contexts. You can compress a complex technical situation into a one-page executive summary shaping action and accountability. Willing to travel approximately 4-8 times per year to customer offices for QBRs, roadmap workshops, and incident retrospectives, generally in-region. Bonus if you: Have prior experience as a Technical Account Manager at a hyperscaler, infrastructure platform, or developer-tools company (AWS, Cloudflare, MongoDB, Snowflake, Datadog, GitHub, etc.). Have hands-on experience with AI agent development, particularly using the Vercel AI SDK, MCP servers, or similar frameworks. Have run an annual technical roadmap workshop or "Well-Architected Review"-style engagement with an enterprise customer. Have experience transitioning from a delivery or support role into a customer-owning role, and can articulate what changed in how you operated. Have direct experience as a Solutions Architect, Support Engineer, or technical delivery lead at a developer platform or infrastructure company, particularly one with a similar split between pre-sales SA and post-sales technical ownership. About the Role: You’ll help define Growth Design at Vercel and shape the complete self-serve journey: signup, onboarding, first project and deployment, adoption, conversion, expansion, and retention. The work spans people, agents, and the handoffs between them. You’ll report into Product Design and work closely with Growth Product, Engineering and Data. You’ll have the authority and support to move from an observed problem to a working prototype, shipped experience, and measured result. Vercel gives you unlimited access to leading LLMs and in-house tools that make product data easier to explore. If a tool limits the work, you can partner directly with its builders or improve it yourself. This role does not come with a mature Growth Design playbook, stable briefs, or one bounded product surface. Priorities change as evidence arrives. Some experiments will not ship. Our data and tools allow us to validate hypotheses. You should enjoy finding the right problem, making something real, working through implementation, and staying accountable after launch. If you’re based within a pre-determined commuting distance of one of our offices (SF, NY, London, or Berlin), the role includes in-office anchor days on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. If you're located beyond that distance, the role is fully remote. For location-specific details, please connect with our recruiting team. What You Will Do: Own the self-serve experience across onboarding, activation, adoption, monetization, and retention for people and agents. Find high-impact opportunities through customer research, product data, and direct use of Vercel. Co-own Growth strategy, priorities, hypotheses, and success measures with Growth Product, Engineering, and Data. Build and test working prototypes using the right tools for the question, including Figma, v0, Cursor, and Claude Code. Design and ship experiments, stay involved through implementation, and interpret results without losing sight of trust, accessibility, or the broader funnel. Turn what works into durable product improvements, reusable patterns, and better internal tools. Share the learning so Design and Growth improve with every experiment. About You: Your portfolio demonstrates strong product design fundamentals and measurable outcomes. It shows how you identified opportunities, understood a funnel, chose what to measure, tested ideas, and improved a shipped product. You have owned ambiguous, complex work from problem framing through launch and iteration. You create clarity and make progress without waiting for a complete brief. You can form useful hypotheses, choose success and guardrail measures, and interpret quantitative and qualitative evidence with Data partners. You build interactive prototypes independently using modern AI tools. You are comfortable prompting, working near code, and learning whatever helps you validate an idea. You design clear, trustworthy experiences across skill levels and abilities. You care about interaction details, edge cases, language, accessibility, and recovery. You work directly with Product, Engineering, and Data, explain tradeoffs clearly, seek feedback early, and stay involved through implementation. You know when to use or evolve a system and when a one-off is the fastest responsible way to learn. Bonus If You: Have shipped AI or agent experiences. Have an engineering background or experience contributing production web code. Have designed developer tools, infrastructure, or other technical products, or are already familiar with Vercel. Benefits & Compensation: Competitive compensation package, including equity. Inclusive Healthcare Package. Learn and Grow - we provide mentorship and send you to events that help you build your network and skills. Flexible Time Off. We will provide you the gear you need to do your role, and a WFH budget for you to outfit your space as needed. The San Francisco, CA base pay range for this role is $172,000 - $258,000. Reporting to the VP of Partnerships, this person owns how partner strategy gets operationalized: designing the shared systems, journeys, and enablement that every partner type moves through, so partner leadership and partner managers can focus on strategy, relationships, and growth rather than rebuilding infrastructure partner-by-partner. Use Data to Evolve Programs: Evaluate program and partner performance using data and partner feedback, and recommend where programs should expand, simplify, or retire. Clear, confident communicator capable of building tools, content, and playbooks that other people can execute consistently. Bonus if you have: Experience designing governance, tiering, or certification frameworks for multiple partner types simultaneously (SIs, ISVs, GSIs, resellers). Exposure to AI/ML, devtools, cloud, or SaaS startup ecosystems. Experience standing up or migrating PRM/marketplace infrastructure.
